Magentrix PRM costs $1,500 a month on the Essential plan and $3,000 a month on Advanced, with an Unlimited plan priced by quote. Essential covers 100 partner users or 10 partner accounts, Advanced covers 150 partner users or 20 partner accounts. Annual billing gets the list price, month-to-month adds a 10% surcharge, and there are no setup or onboarding fees. That puts a typical first year at $18,000 to $36,000 before add-ons.
Every figure below was read off Magentrix's own partner portal pricing page in September 2026. Magentrix is one of the few PRM vendors that still publishes numbers, which makes it easy to model. The hard part is not finding the price, it is working out which of the two licensing options is cheaper for the partner program you actually run.
How much does Magentrix cost?
| Plan | Monthly price (annual billing) | Included licenses | Year one at list | Year one month-to-month (+10%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $1,500 | 100 partner users OR 10 partner accounts with unlimited users per account | $18,000 | $19,800 |
| Advanced | $3,000 | 150 partner users OR 20 partner accounts with unlimited users per account | $36,000 | $39,600 |
| Unlimited | Contact sales | Unlimited users, all features | Quote | Quote |
Magentrix also offers quarterly billing at no extra charge, and a monthly contract can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. There is no free trial; the route in is a scheduled demo.
Which Magentrix license is cheaper, partner users or partner accounts?
This is the decision that sets your real cost, and it depends on how your partners are shaped. Each plan lets you license by individual partner users or by partner accounts, where one account is a partner company with unlimited users inside it.
On Essential, the account option works out to $150 per partner company per month. The user option works out to $15 per partner user per month. So the break-even is ten users per partner. If your average reseller has three salespeople who need the portal, the user license covers about 33 partner companies for the same $1,500, more than three times the ten you would get on the account license. If your partners are large distributors or MSPs with 25 reps each, the account license wins easily, because 10 accounts at 25 users is 250 people for the price of 100.
Advanced moves the numbers a little: $150 per account per month again (20 accounts for $3,000), but $20 per user (150 users for $3,000). The per-user rate actually goes up on the bigger plan, so do not upgrade to Advanced for seats alone. Upgrade for the features.
What does Magentrix Advanced add over Essential?
Essential already includes the core of a partner portal: partner self-registration, deal management and AI deal registration, training through a built-in LMS, partner attribution, engagement pages, co-branding and an idea exchange.
Advanced doubles the price and adds the program-management layer: gamification and incentives, MDF, partner payouts, business planning, micro sites, advanced CRM integration, and a developer console with a REST API. The last two matter more than they look. If your team plans to push custom objects between the portal and Salesforce or HubSpot, or to build anything on top of the portal, you are an Advanced customer whether or not you need MDF.
A practical test: if the only reasons to upgrade are MDF claims and partner payouts, price those two workflows separately first. A dedicated MDF tool or a payout step run from your accounting system can cost less than the $18,000 a year gap between the plans.
Does Magentrix charge setup fees or extra costs?
No setup or onboarding fees are listed. The extra costs sit in add-ons and in going over your license count:
- Additional users or accounts beyond your plan's included count are charged as extra licenses. The page does not publish that per-license rate, so get it in writing before you sign.
- Rewards programs: $99 per additional program.
- Storage: $1 per GB per month for files and $15 per GB per month for records.
- Development sandboxes and custom hubs: listed as add-ons without a published price.
The overage rate is the one to negotiate. A partner program that works grows its roster, and growth is exactly what pushes you past 100 users. Ask what licenses 101 to 150 cost on Essential, and whether Magentrix will lock that rate for the contract term.
How does Magentrix pricing compare to other PRM software?
Magentrix sits in the middle of the market on price and near the top on transparency. Most channel PRMs now quote privately.
| Vendor | Published entry price | How it is priced | Finds new partners |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magentrix | $1,500 a month | Tiers by partner users or partner accounts | No |
| ZINFI | $1,450 a month billed annually | Published grid, up to 250 partners, plus a setup fee | No |
| Channeltivity | None since mid-2026 | Quote, tiers described by partner count | No |
| Impartner | None | Quote, sold module by module | No |
| Partnerships | $47 a month billed yearly | Flat: $47, $119 or $269 a month, no per-partner fee | Yes, AI discovery ranked by fit |
For the quote-only vendors, our pages on Channeltivity pricing and Impartner pricing collect what can be verified, and the partner relationship management software cost guide covers the category as a whole.
Is Magentrix worth the price?
It is worth it for a company that already has a real channel. If you run Salesforce, Dynamics or HubSpot, you have dozens of partners who need training, deal registration and co-branded content, and your partners are big enough that the account license makes sense, $18,000 a year for a CRM-synced portal with an LMS built in is fair money. Magentrix also carries SOC 2 Type II, which helps when an enterprise security review is in the way.
It is hard to justify for a program that is still small. At ten active partners, Essential costs $1,800 per partner per year before anyone has closed a deal, and a portal does nothing about the question most early programs are really stuck on, which is who the next twenty partners should be. Magentrix starts working on the day a partner signs. Finding and recruiting them is a separate job.
That separate job is what Partnerships is built for. It finds reseller, referral, integration and co-marketing partner companies ranked by a transparent fit score with the reasons shown, drafts recruiting outreach that a person approves before anything sends, and tracks each partner through onboarding, deal registration and partner-sourced revenue on flat pricing of $47, $119 or $269 a month. Our full Magentrix alternative comparison lays out where each one fits, and if you are shopping portals more broadly, see our partner portal software page.
One more thing to check before you buy: Magentrix sells a customer portal on a separate price list. If the people you need to onboard are customers rather than partners, you may be shopping for customer onboarding operations instead, and a partner portal license would be the wrong spend.
How to get the best price from Magentrix
Go in with three numbers: how many partner companies you will have at signing and in 12 months, the average number of people per partner who need a login, and which Advanced features you would actually use. The first two tell you whether to license by users or accounts. The third tells you whether you need Advanced at all.
Then ask for four things in writing: the per-license overage rate, whether that rate is locked for the term, the price of any sandbox or custom hub you need, and the annual discount against the published monthly figure. Choose annual or quarterly billing over month-to-month unless you genuinely expect to cancel inside a year, because the 10% surcharge is $1,800 on Essential and $3,600 on Advanced every year.
