GoAffPro vs UpPromote pricing and fees (UpPromote vs GoAffPro) for Shopify affiliate programs

GoAffPro and UpPromote are the two affiliate apps most Shopify brands shortlist first, and both start free. They part ways the moment a program starts earning. GoAffPro charges a flat monthly fee that does not change with sales. UpPromote charges a lower monthly fee plus a percentage of every referral sale you approve, and it caps how many referrals each plan can review.

Both vendors publish their prices, so the comparison can be done with real numbers rather than impressions. This page puts the current plans side by side, prices both apps at six levels of monthly affiliate sales, and is plain about what UpPromote gives you for the extra money. Several comparisons in circulation, including GoAffPro's own, still quote prices neither vendor charges today, so every figure here comes from the vendors' current pricing pages and Shopify App Store listings.

Choose GoAffPro if you want the lowest fixed cost, sell on more than one storefront, and recruit affiliates yourself. Choose UpPromote if you sell only on Shopify and want its marketplace and support, and the 1% to 2% fee is worth it to you. Choose Partnerships if the partners you need are companies, such as complementary brands, agencies and resellers, and the job is finding and recruiting them on a flat published fee.

The short answer

GoAffPro or UpPromote, which one should you buy?

Buy GoAffPro if cost decides it and you already know your affiliates: Premium is a flat $49 a month and Business starts at $99, with no share of sales, so above $3,000 a month in affiliate sales it is cheaper at every level. Buy UpPromote if you want its affiliate marketplace to help recruit creators and you value deep Shopify support enough to pay $29.99 to $199.99 a month plus 1% to 2% of approved referral sales. At $50,000 a month in affiliate sales the difference is about $600 a month.

Why teams pick Partnerships

AI prospecting and drafted outreach, with no marketplace tax

What the two apps cost at six program sizes

Here is the monthly bill before commission, using the cheapest UpPromote plan at each level. At $3,000 of affiliate sales: UpPromote Free $0, GoAffPro Premium $49. At $5,000: UpPromote Growth $129.99, GoAffPro $49. At $10,000: Growth $229.99, GoAffPro $49. At $25,000: UpPromote Enterprise $449.99, GoAffPro Business from $99. At $50,000: Enterprise $699.99 against $99. At $100,000: Enterprise $1,199.99 against $99. Inside UpPromote, Professional becomes cheaper than Growth at $12,000 a month and Enterprise becomes cheaper than Professional at $22,000. The review caps can move you sooner. Growth reviews 300 referrals a month, so a store with a $50 average order hits the cap at $15,000 of referral sales and has to move to Professional whatever the percentage math says. GoAffPro publishes no caps, which is why its bill stays flat. The one thing to confirm is the Business price, because GoAffPro quotes it by email and states only the $99 floor.

Where UpPromote earns its percentage

UpPromote is the better buy when the program needs help finding affiliates. Its marketplace lists your program to creators who are looking for brands to promote, which GoAffPro does not do. It is also built only for Shopify, and that focus shows in features such as store credit payouts, a customer referral program on Growth, multi-store sync on Enterprise, and an API and MCP access on Professional. Every paid plan has a 14-day trial and an annual option at about 17% off. If your affiliates come mostly from the marketplace, the fee is effectively a recruiting cost, and it can be cheaper than paying an agency or a person to source creators. If you already know your affiliates, you are paying it for tracking you could get at a flat rate.

Where GoAffPro is the stronger buy

GoAffPro wins on cost and reach. Premium at $49 includes multi-level marketing, a branded portal on your own domain, a payout scheduler and a tax plugin, and none of its plans takes a percentage. It also supports WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Magento, PrestaShop, Ecwid, Squarespace and Webflow as well as Shopify, so a brand that sells on two storefronts or might move off Shopify keeps one program. The trade is service and certainty. GoAffPro is a tracking and payout tool and will not recruit for you, Business is quoted rather than published, and the company is operated from India, so ask about support hours in US time zones before a big launch. Two widely shared comparisons, including GoAffPro's own page against UpPromote, still show prices of $29 and $21.99 that neither vendor charges today. Price from the current pricing pages, not from comparison posts.

What neither app does, and when that is the real problem

Both apps assume your partners are individuals who share a link or a code: creators, loyal customers and content sites. For most direct-to-consumer brands that is the right model, and one of these two is the right tool for it. They do not find the partners that are companies. A complementary brand to bundle with, an agency that builds stores for your buyers, a retailer or distributor that could carry your line: none of them applies through an affiliate signup page. Partnerships researches the companies that already reach your customers, ranks them by a fit score with the reasons shown, drafts the first outreach for a person to approve, and tracks the revenue each partner brings. It costs a flat $47, $119 or $269 a month billed yearly with no share of partner revenue, and brands often run it next to an affiliate app rather than instead of one.

Good questions

GoAffPro and UpPromote vs Partnerships, answered

GoAffPro is better on cost and platform support: a flat $49 or from $99 a month with no percentage, on Shopify and eight other storefronts. UpPromote is better if you want help recruiting affiliates through its marketplace and deep Shopify features, and you accept 1% to 2% of approved referral sales on top of $29.99 to $199.99 a month.
Below $3,000 a month in referral sales, both can cost nothing on their free plans. Above that, GoAffPro is cheaper at every level on published prices. At $10,000 a month UpPromote Growth costs $229.99 against GoAffPro Premium at $49, and at $50,000 UpPromote Enterprise costs $699.99 against the GoAffPro Business floor of $99.
Yes, on every paid plan. UpPromote charges 2% of approved referral sales on Growth, 1.5% on Professional and 1% on Enterprise, on top of the monthly fee and the commission you pay affiliates. The fee is revoked if the order is fully refunded or canceled in Shopify. The free plan has no fee but reviews only $3,000 of referral sales a month.
No. GoAffPro publishes no transaction fee or revenue share on any plan. Hobby is free, Premium is $49 a month and Business starts at $99 a month, and every tier lists unlimited affiliates, sales and revenue. The Business price above $99 is quoted by email, so get the figure for your sales volume in writing.
No. UpPromote is built for Shopify and Shopify Plus only. If you sell on WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Magento or Squarespace, or run more than one storefront, GoAffPro supports those platforms on the same pricing tiers.
Yes. Both apps install from the Shopify App Store, so you can run GoAffPro on its free plan, import or invite your affiliates, and issue them new links and coupon codes before you cancel UpPromote. Settle UpPromote referrals that are still pending first, since its fee is charged when you approve them.
Yes. Partnerships finds and ranks partner companies, such as complementary brands, agencies and resellers, by fit, drafts outreach a person approves, and tracks partner revenue. It costs $47, $119 or $269 a month billed yearly with no percentage of partner revenue, and it runs alongside an affiliate app.
