Allbound vs Channeltivity: PRM software pricing, partner limits, and which channel platform to shortlist

Allbound and Channeltivity turn up on the same shortlists because both sell partner relationship management to companies that sell through resellers, distributors and referral partners. The comparison has changed twice in the last eighteen months, though, and most of what is written about it online is stale. Allbound no longer exists under that name, and Channeltivity no longer tells you what it costs. Here is what both vendors publish today, read off their own sites in August 2026, and what the gap between them means for a shortlist.

Buy Channelscaler if you run a large multi-tier distribution or hardware channel, you want implementation and support folded into a fixed module price, and $50,000 a year per module is a normal line item. Buy Channeltivity if you run a focused technology channel that needs a proven partner portal, deal registration and native CRM sync, and you are willing to go through a sales call to get a number. Buy Partnerships if the harder problem is that you still have to find the partners in the first place.

The short answer

What is the difference between Allbound and Channeltivity?

The price gap is the headline: Channelscaler, which is what Allbound became, publishes a floor of $50,000 per module per year, while the last figure Channeltivity published was $1,899 a month, about $22,788 a year. That is roughly a twenty times difference at the entry point for two products that both call themselves channel PRM. Neither will quote you without a call today, but Channelscaler at least tells you the floor, and Channeltivity has published nothing since mid-2026. Channelscaler is built for large multi-tier distribution and hardware channels. Channeltivity fits a focused technology channel that wants a proven portal and native CRM sync.

Allbound is not a brand you can buy any more, and that changes the comparison

If you are comparing Allbound against Channeltivity today, the first thing to correct is the name. Allbound merged with Channel Mechanics and relaunched as Channelscaler. Type allbound.com into a browser and you get a 301 redirect to channelscaler.com, which we checked again on August 24, 2026. That matters for more than tidiness. Allbound was known as a mid-market PRM: a partner portal, onboarding, enablement content, a learning library. Channel Mechanics did something different, namely channel program automation, promotions, pricing and quoting, and incentive execution. The merged product carries both, and it is priced like it. A lot of the Allbound reviews and roundups still circulating describe a product positioned for growing SaaS partner programs. The thing you would actually sign for today starts at $50,000 per module per year. So if an old comparison put Allbound and Channeltivity in the same budget bracket, that comparison is out of date.

The entry-point gap between them is roughly twenty times

Channelscaler's pricing page says it plainly: "our platform is built for organizations managing large or complex channel ecosystems, with pricing starting at $50k per module annually." Note the unit. That is per module, per year, so a program that wants PRM plus incentive execution is looking at two modules. Channeltivity no longer publishes anything. Its pricing page lists Growth, Mid-Market and Enterprise, describes them by partner scale of roughly 100, hundreds, and thousands of partners or dealers, and ends each one with a prompt to talk rather than a number. Before mid-2026 it did publish, and the figures were $1,899 a month for Standard and $2,199 a month for the CRM Edition, with add-on modules between $299 and $499 a month each. Put those side by side and the entry points are about $50,000 a year against about $22,788 a year, and the Channeltivity figure is the older, cheaper, no-longer-guaranteed one. For most buyers that single line decides the shortlist before anyone opens a feature matrix.

What Channelscaler includes in the module price is genuinely unusual

The $50,000 figure looks brutal next to a $79 a month tool, and for a small program it is. But read what sits inside it, because the packaging is not standard for this category. Channelscaler states that the module price covers implementation, configuration, support and maintenance, feature updates, expert guidance, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, setup and configuration, and training and onboarding. It also states that it does not charge extra for additional users, usage or growth, and that there are no setup fees. The price is fixed for the full contract length with no mid-contract changes. That is the opposite of how most enterprise channel software behaves. The usual pattern is a license fee, then a separate implementation statement of work, then seat creep as the partner count grows, then an uplift at renewal. If you have been burned by that sequence, a fixed all-inclusive module has a real value that a headline number hides. It is also sold through the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, which lets Azure customers draw the spend against an existing commitment.

Channeltivity's strength is CRM depth and a portal that has been in production a long time

Channeltivity does not try to be a channel operating system. It runs a focused set of things: partner recruitment with scoring and automated outreach, deal registration with real-time pipeline visibility, a branded self-serve partner portal, and performance dashboards for partner health. The integration list is the part buyers usually care about. Channeltivity names Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Zoho and SAP, and describes the ability to connect to effectively any CRM, ERP or business system. Historically its CRM Edition carried a premium over Standard, which is why the last published figures showed $1,899 and $2,199, and it is reasonable to assume a similar split still exists behind the quote. It also says something most of this category avoids saying: partner programs do not fit seat-based pricing. It prices on program structure instead. If your partner count swings seasonally, that is a meaningfully different risk profile from a per-seat contract.

Both have now moved evaluation behind a sales call, which has a cost of its own

There is a trend worth naming here because it cuts against buyers. Channeltivity used to publish and stopped. impact.com removed its pricing page and later restored a version of it. Impartner has never published and its pricing URL returns a 404. Channelscaler went the other way and started publishing a floor it had never shown. The practical effect is that comparing two channel platforms now takes weeks rather than an afternoon. You book two demos, sit through two discovery calls, and receive two quotes built on different units, one per module and one per program structure, which do not divide into each other cleanly. Budget for that. If you need a decision inside a quarter, start the vendor conversations before you finish internal requirements, not after. And ask both vendors the same three questions in writing: what is the unit, what triggers an increase, and what does year two look like.

Neither of them solves the problem of not having partners yet

This is the honest limit of both products, and it is the reason we build something different. Channelscaler and Channeltivity are both administration layers. They onboard, enable, track, register deals, and pay partners you have already recruited. Channeltivity scores and runs outreach, but you still have to supply the list. If your partner program is real and running, that is exactly what you need and one of these two is probably the right call. If the actual bottleneck is that you have eleven partners and need sixty, a portal does not move that number. Partnerships puts discovery at the front: describe what you sell and it surfaces reseller, affiliate, integration and co-marketing companies ranked by fit, with the reasoning shown, then drafts the outreach for you to approve. Plenty of teams end up running discovery first and a heavier PRM later, once the partner count justifies it. Those are not competing purchases so much as different stages.

Good questions

Allbound and Channeltivity vs Partnerships, answered

Allbound merged with Channel Mechanics and relaunched under the name Channelscaler. The change was announced on May 30, 2025, and allbound.com now returns a 301 redirect to channelscaler.com. The combined product pairs Allbound's PRM and partner portal with Channel Mechanics' channel program automation, meaning promotions, pricing and quoting, and incentive execution.
It is the same company under a new name, but not the same product scope. Channelscaler is Allbound combined with Channel Mechanics, so it now covers channel program automation as well as partner relationship management. The pricing reflects the larger scope: it starts at $50,000 per module per year, which is well above where Allbound was positioned in older reviews.
Channelscaler publishes a floor rather than a full price list. Its pricing page states that pricing starts at $50,000 per module annually. The module price is all-inclusive: implementation, configuration, support and maintenance, feature updates, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, setup, training and onboarding, with no extra charge for additional users, usage or growth.
Channeltivity no longer publishes pricing. As of August 2026 its pricing page lists three unpriced segments, Growth, Mid-Market and Enterprise, each ending in a call to action rather than a figure. Until mid-2026 it published $1,899 a month for Standard and $2,199 a month for the CRM Edition, with add-on modules at $299 to $499 a month each.
On the only figures either vendor has made public, Channeltivity is far cheaper at the entry point. Channelscaler starts at $50,000 per module per year. Channeltivity's last published entry price was $1,899 a month, roughly $22,788 a year. That is about a twenty times gap, though Channeltivity's number is no longer guaranteed because it stopped publishing.
No, and it says so directly. Channeltivity prices on program structure rather than per seat, and describes its tiers by partner scale instead: roughly 100 partners or dealers on Growth, hundreds on Mid-Market, and thousands on Enterprise. For programs with a fluctuating partner count that removes a common source of bill shock.
Yes. Channeltivity names HubSpot alongside Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Zoho and SAP, and describes the ability to connect to effectively any CRM, ERP or business system. Historically its CRM Edition carried a premium over the Standard plan, which is why the two last-published figures differed by $300 a month.
They were two separate vendors that merged into Channelscaler. Allbound was the PRM known for its partner portal, onboarding and enablement content. Channel Mechanics specialized in channel program automation: promotions, pricing and quoting, and incentive execution. Channelscaler sells the combined capability by module.
Probably neither, at least not first. Channelscaler is sized for thousands of partners across distribution tiers, and Channeltivity's smallest tier assumes around 100 partners already exist. Both administer partners you have recruited. If the bottleneck is finding partners rather than managing them, start with discovery and add a heavier PRM once the partner count justifies the license.
