Tapfiliate pricing starts at $89 a month on Launch, or $74 a month billed annually at $890 a year, and Scale costs $179 a month, or $149 billed annually at $1,790. Enterprise is quoted. Launch covers one program, 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions a month. Above those allowances Tapfiliate bills overage: $1.50 per 1,000 clicks and $15 per 1,000 conversions on Launch, $1 and $10 on Scale.
The plan fee is the easy part. What decides your bill is how many clicks and conversions your affiliates send and how many affiliates you have, because the 50-affiliate cap on Launch forces the move to Scale long before most programs run out of traffic. Below are the current figures from Tapfiliate's own pricing page, what the bill looks like at five program sizes, where Launch and Scale cost the same, and how the total compares with tools that meter on revenue instead of traffic.
How much does Tapfiliate cost?
These are the plans on tapfiliate.com/pricing. Annual billing gives two months free on both paid tiers. Every plan includes the 30-plus prebuilt integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Stripe and others), the JavaScript pixel, the REST API and server-to-server postback tracking, so the tiers differ on volume and management features, not on how you connect.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Affiliates | Programs | Clicks / conversions a month | Team members | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $89 | $74/mo ($890/yr) | 50 | 1 | 5,000 / 500 | 1 | 7 days |
| Scale | $179 | $149/mo ($1,790/yr) | Unlimited | Unlimited | 100,000 / 10,000 | 5 | 14 days |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited | Tailored | Unlimited | 30 days, on request |
Scale is where most of the management features live: affiliate groups, private creative assets, caps management, product XML feeds, item and category based commissions, the bonus system, advanced multi-level sales goals, deeplinks and shortlinks, and automated affiliate payouts through Trolley. Launch includes recurring commissions, coupon tracking, real-time reporting and bulk actions. Enterprise adds unlimited team members and triggered notifications, a detailed API click report, full white label and a dedicated manager. Tapfiliate states there are no setup fees.
What are Tapfiliate overage fees?
Tapfiliate keeps tracking when you pass an allowance and bills the excess. The pricing page lists the rates per 1,000 events above the plan's monthly allowance.
| Plan | Included clicks | Extra clicks | Included conversions | Extra conversions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | 5,000 | $1.50 per 1,000 | 500 | $15 per 1,000 |
| Scale | 100,000 | $1 per 1,000 | 10,000 | $10 per 1,000 |
Two details matter here. Conversions are ten times the price of clicks per 1,000, so a program with a high conversion rate, such as a coupon program where most tracked visits buy, hits the conversion meter first. And nothing stops working when you go over, so the first sign of overage is usually the invoice. The pricing page does not say whether a partial block of 1,000 is rounded up, so the figures below pro-rate it. Ask Tapfiliate how it bills a partial block before you budget to the dollar.
What Tapfiliate costs at five program sizes
Here is the monthly bill on monthly billing, with overage at the published rates, for programs of 50 affiliates or fewer. Past 50 affiliates you are on Scale regardless of traffic, which is the last row.
| Clicks a month | Conversions a month | Launch total | Scale total | Cheaper plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4,000 | 300 | $89 | $179 | Launch |
| 10,000 | 800 | $101 ($89 + $7.50 + $4.50) | $179 | Launch |
| 20,000 | 1,500 | $126.50 ($89 + $22.50 + $15) | $179 | Launch |
| 40,000 | 3,000 | $179 ($89 + $52.50 + $37.50) | $179 | Same |
| 150,000 | 12,000 | Not practical | $249 ($179 + $50 + $20) | Scale |
| Any traffic, 51+ affiliates | Any | Not allowed | From $179 | Scale |
The row in bold is the one to remember. At 40,000 clicks and 3,000 conversions a month, Launch with overage costs exactly what Scale does. Below that mix Launch is cheaper; above it Scale is, and Scale also brings unlimited affiliates, groups and automated payouts for the same money. If only one meter grows, the break-even moves: on clicks alone it sits at 65,000 a month, and on conversions alone at 6,500 a month.
Launch or Scale, which Tapfiliate plan do you need?
For most programs the affiliate cap decides it, not traffic. Fifty affiliates sounds like a lot until you open applications. A DTC brand that accepts creators, coupon sites and a few review blogs usually has 50 approved affiliates within a few months, even if only a dozen of them send meaningful sales. Tapfiliate counts affiliates in the account, not active ones, so the practical question is whether you will prune the roster or pay for Scale.
Choose Launch if you run a deliberately small, invite-only program, send under roughly 40,000 clicks and 3,000 conversions a month, and can live with one team member and one program. Choose Scale if you accept open applications, need more than one program (for example a customer referral program next to an affiliate program), want automated payouts, or need category-level commissions. On annual billing the gap between the two narrows to $75 a month, $74 against $149.
Tapfiliate pricing compared with other affiliate tools
Tapfiliate meters traffic. The tools it gets shortlisted against meter something else, so the headline prices do not line up. The fair comparison is the total at your volume and your average order value.
| Tool | Entry price | What the bill grows with | Entry plan limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tapfiliate | $89/mo, $74 annual | Clicks and conversions | 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks, 500 conversions |
| FirstPromoter | $49/mo, $490/yr | Monthly affiliate revenue | $5,000 a month of affiliate revenue, 1,000 affiliates |
| Rewardful | $49/mo | Revenue from referred customers | $7,500 a month of affiliate revenue |
| Post Affiliate Pro | $89/mo, $79 annual | Tracking requests, including impressions | 10,000 requests, unlimited affiliates |
| Partnero | $59/mo, $49 annual | Nothing on the base plan | Unlimited partners, transactions and revenue |
| Partnerships | $47/mo | Nothing. Flat fee | No traffic or revenue meter |
Average order value is the number that flips these comparisons. Tapfiliate's 500 included conversions are worth $5,000 of revenue at a $10 order and $50,000 at a $100 order, and the price is the same $89 either way. So for a store or SaaS product with a high average order, Tapfiliate is cheap for the revenue it tracks, and a revenue-metered tool like FirstPromoter (our FirstPromoter pricing review has the full ladder), which moves to $99 above $5,000 and $149 above $15,000, costs more. For a low-ticket product with lots of small orders, the conversion meter bites early and the revenue-metered tools win. We worked through that exact crossover, which lands at a $10 average order, in our FirstPromoter vs Tapfiliate pricing comparison, and the traffic-metered alternative is priced out in Post Affiliate Pro pricing and tracking limits.
Costs that are not on the Tapfiliate pricing page
The subscription is not the whole budget. Three other lines usually show up in the first year.
- Payout processing. Automated payouts on Scale run through Trolley, a separate payouts company, and any fees for that service sit on its side of the relationship rather than on Tapfiliate's price list. Check them before you promise affiliates a payout method.
- Extra seats on Launch. Launch has one team member. If a second person needs to approve affiliates or run payouts, that alone is a reason to move to Scale.
- Tracking breaks you do not see. Tapfiliate records a conversion when your checkout fires the pixel or your server sends the postback. If that endpoint fails after a deploy, sales stop being attributed and affiliates notice before you do. Putting uptime monitoring on the checkout and postback URLs is cheaper than a week of commission disputes.
Who owns Tapfiliate?
Tapfiliate was founded in Amsterdam in 2014 and was acquired by Admitad, an affiliate network group, in February 2021. It kept its brand and management after the deal. That matters mostly for procurement: you are buying from a subsidiary of a larger performance marketing company, not an independent vendor, so ask about data processing terms if your security review cares where tracking data sits.
When Tapfiliate is the wrong tool entirely
Tapfiliate, FirstPromoter, Rewardful and Post Affiliate Pro all do the same job: track what affiliates send and work out what you owe them. That is the right job for a brand paying creators, coupon sites and bloggers. It is the wrong one for a B2B or SaaS company whose best partners are agencies, consultants, resellers and integration partners. Those partners send a handful of large deals, not thousands of clicks, and the hard part is finding the right companies and getting a reply.
That is what Partnerships does. It researches the companies that already sell into your market, ranks them by a fit score with the reasons shown, drafts outreach a person on your team approves, and tracks partner-sourced revenue on a flat $47, $119 or $269 a month, with no click, conversion or revenue meter. If you are still weighing affiliate trackers, our Tapfiliate alternatives comparison and the wider affiliate software pricing guide line the options up on published prices.
Frequently asked questions
How much is Tapfiliate per month?
Tapfiliate is $89 a month on Launch and $179 a month on Scale with monthly billing, or $74 and $149 a month billed annually at $890 and $1,790 a year. Enterprise is priced on request. Overage on clicks and conversions is billed on top once you pass the plan's monthly allowance.
Does Tapfiliate have a free plan?
No. Tapfiliate has no free plan, only free trials: 7 days on Launch, 14 days on Scale and 30 days on Enterprise by request. The subscription starts automatically when the trial ends, so cancel before then if you are only testing. You can switch plans during the trial without being billed.
What happens if I go over my Tapfiliate click or conversion limit?
Tracking continues and the excess is billed as overage. On Launch that is $1.50 per 1,000 extra clicks and $15 per 1,000 extra conversions. On Scale it is $1 and $10. At 40,000 clicks and 3,000 conversions a month, Launch with overage costs the same $179 as Scale, so above that level Scale is the cheaper plan.
How many affiliates can I have on Tapfiliate Launch?
Fifty. Launch allows 50 affiliates and one affiliate program. Scale and Enterprise have no affiliate limit and allow unlimited programs. The cap counts affiliates in the account, so a program that accepts open applications usually needs Scale well before its traffic would require it.
Is Tapfiliate cheaper than FirstPromoter?
It depends on your average order. FirstPromoter is $49 a month up to $5,000 of monthly affiliate revenue, then $99 up to $15,000. Tapfiliate is $89 regardless of revenue, within 500 conversions and 50 affiliates. So Tapfiliate is cheaper once affiliate revenue passes $5,000 a month with an average order above $10, and FirstPromoter is cheaper below that.
Does Tapfiliate charge a percentage of affiliate revenue?
No. Tapfiliate does not take a percentage of sales or of commissions. You pay the plan fee plus any click and conversion overage. Payout services used for automated payouts on Scale are a separate provider, so check that provider's fees before relying on them.
