Refersion pricing has two parts: a monthly plan fee and a percentage of every affiliate-driven sale. Launch costs $39 a month plus 3%, and Growth costs $199 a month plus 2%. Billed yearly, Launch drops to $29 a month ($348 a year) and Growth to $159 ($1,908 a year). Scale, for brands above $1 million in annual GMV, is a custom flat subscription with no published price.
The plan fee is the small number. The percentage is what decides your bill, and it keeps growing with your program. Below is the full price list as Refersion publishes it today, what you actually pay at seven levels of affiliate sales, when to switch from Launch to Growth, and how the total compares with UpPromote, GoAffPro and LeadDyno.
How much does Refersion cost?
Refersion lists four plans on refersion.com/pricing and the same paid prices on its Shopify App Store listing. Every paid plan includes unlimited affiliates, clicks and conversions, so there is no roster cap. You pay for the sales your affiliates bring in.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Fee on affiliate sales | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace | $0 | $0 | Not listed | A public listing and a percent-of-sale offer affiliates can apply to |
| Launch | $39/mo | $29/mo ($348/yr) | 3% | New brands |
| Growth | $199/mo | $159/mo ($1,908/yr) | 2% | Brands nearing $1M GMV |
| Scale | Quote | Quote | Flat monthly subscription | Brands above $1M GMV a year |
Launch includes the marketplace listing, affiliate discovery, a first-party tracking domain, one-click PayPal payouts and percent-of-sale or subscription commissions. Growth adds advanced commission options, tracking by product and customer email, new versus returning customer commissions, API access, 30+ marketing integrations, multi-store management and chat support. Scale adds premium support, white-glove onboarding and a Slack channel.
Does Refersion charge a percentage of sales?
Yes. Refersion's FAQ says the fee is a percentage of affiliate-driven sales, not your total store revenue, and that it is calculated and billed monthly. That is fairer than a cut of all revenue, but notice what it is charged on: the sale value, not the commission you pay the affiliate.
That matters because it changes your real cost per affiliate sale. If you pay creators 10%, Launch's 3% adds 30% on top of your commission cost, and Growth's 2% adds 20%. At a 20% commission the same fees add 15% and 10%. Low-commission programs feel the percentage most, so run your own rate before you compare Refersion with a flat-fee tool.
What does Refersion cost at your sales volume?
Here is the monthly platform bill on the cheaper plan at each level, before any commission paid to affiliates. On monthly billing the cheaper plan is Launch up to $16,000 of affiliate sales and Growth above it. On yearly billing the switch comes earlier, at $13,000.
| Affiliate sales per month | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2,000 | $99 | $89 | Launch |
| $5,000 | $189 | $179 | Launch |
| $10,000 | $339 | $329 | Launch |
| $16,000 | $519 | $479 | Either on monthly, Growth on yearly |
| $25,000 | $699 | $659 | Growth |
| $50,000 | $1,199 | $1,159 | Growth |
| $100,000 | $2,199 | $2,159 | Growth, or ask for Scale |
Two things stand out. First, the fixed fee is close to irrelevant once you have real sales: at $50,000 a month, $1,000 of the $1,199 is the percentage. Second, yearly billing saves only $120 a year on Launch and $480 on Growth, so it is worth taking only if you are sure you will stay on that plan for twelve months.
When should you move from Launch to Growth?
Move when your affiliate-driven sales pass $16,000 a month on monthly billing, or $13,000 on yearly billing. At that point the one-point lower fee on Growth pays for its higher plan price, and every $10,000 of sales above the line saves you $100 a month. You also get product-level tracking and new versus returning customer commissions, which many brands want well before the math says so.
How much does Refersion Scale cost?
Refersion does not publish a Scale price. It describes Scale as a flat monthly subscription for brands doing more than $1 million in GMV a year, sold through sales. If you are on Growth and your affiliate sales are large, get a Scale quote before you renew, because a flat fee is exactly what you want at volume. At $100,000 a month of affiliate sales Growth costs about $26,000 a year, so any Scale quote below that is a saving. Ask whether the flat fee has a sales ceiling and what happens when you cross it.
Why do review sites list different Refersion prices?
Because many copied older price lists. One cost comparison site still shows Growth at $249 a month and Scale at $599, and some software directories give a starting price of $99 or $119. None of those appear on Refersion's pricing page or its Shopify listing today, where Launch is $39 and Growth is $199. There is also a small discrepancy on Refersion's own page: it advertises 20% off for yearly billing, which is right for Growth ($199 to $159), while Launch drops from $39 to $29, about 26% off. Its Shopify listing says "save 26%" for Launch. Use the vendor page and your invoice, not a roundup.
How is Refersion billed on Shopify?
The Shopify App Store listing shows the same Launch and Growth prices and notes that external charges may be billed by Refersion, Inc. separately from your Shopify invoice. In practice your finance team can see a Shopify app charge, a separate Refersion charge for the monthly percentage, and PayPal or Trolley payouts to affiliates, all for one program. If that matching lands on one person every month, reconciliation software that matches payouts and invoices against your bank lines saves the spreadsheet work at month end.
Refersion vs UpPromote, GoAffPro and LeadDyno on price
The tools Shopify brands usually set against Refersion all publish prices, so the comparison can be done in dollars. UpPromote uses the same model at lower rates: $29.99 plus 2%, $89.99 plus 1.5% or $199.99 plus 1% of referral sales. GoAffPro charges a flat $49 on Premium and from $99 on Business with no percentage. LeadDyno charges by active affiliate count, $49 for 50 up to $749 for unlimited, also with no percentage. UpPromote also caps how many referrals you can review each month on its lower plans, so check that limit alongside the fee.
| Affiliate sales per month | Refersion (cheaper plan) | UpPromote (cheaper plan) | GoAffPro | LeadDyno |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | $339 | $229.99 | $49 | $49 to $749 by roster |
| $25,000 | $699 | $449.99 | $49 to $99+ | $49 to $749 by roster |
| $50,000 | $1,199 | $699.99 | From $99 | $49 to $749 by roster |
On published prices Refersion is the most expensive of the four at every one of these levels. What it offers for the difference is its affiliate marketplace, a long track record with US brands, product and email-level tracking on Growth, and payout options that include Trolley. If those matter to you, the premium can be worth paying. If they do not, our Refersion alternatives comparison covers the cheaper options in depth, GoAffPro vs Refersion prices the flat-fee option at six program sizes, and LeadDyno vs Refersion shows where a roster-priced tool beats a percentage. Is Refersion worth the price?
Refersion is worth it for a US ecommerce brand that wants an established vendor, product-level tracking and a marketplace that brings creators to its offer, and whose affiliate sales are moderate. It is hard to justify for a brand with large affiliate sales and a low commission rate, where the 2% to 3% fee can cost more each year than the entire plan of a flat-fee rival.
It also only solves one kind of partnership. Refersion tracks individuals who share links and codes. It will not find the companies that could sell or bundle your product, such as complementary brands, agencies whose clients are your buyers, and retailers. Partnerships researches those companies, ranks them by a fit score with the reasons shown, drafts the first outreach for a person on your team to approve, and tracks the revenue each partner brings, on a flat $47, $119 or $269 a month billed yearly with no share of partner revenue. If you want more pricing side by side, our affiliate software pricing guide lists every published plan in the category.
Does Refersion have a free plan?
Refersion has a free Marketplace plan, but it is a listing, not a tracking plan. It lets you publish a percent-of-sale offer that affiliates can view and apply to. Tracking, payouts and commissions start on Launch at $39 a month plus 3% of affiliate-driven sales. Refersion lists no free trial on its paid plans.
Can you cancel Refersion anytime?
Refersion bills at the start of each cycle, every 30 days on monthly billing or once a year on yearly billing, and its pricing page lists no setup fee or minimum term for Launch and Growth. Monthly billing is the safe choice while your program is new. Before you leave, pay out every commission affiliates have earned and export your affiliate list, because you lose the tracking history once the account closes.
