Partner Relationship Management Market Size, US Growth and Vendor Landscape (2026)

If you have tried to size the partner relationship management market, you have probably noticed that the numbers do not agree. Not by a little. MarketsandMarkets describes a market reaching roughly $2.0 billion by 2026. Fortune Business Insights describes one worth $144.02 billion in the same year. That is a difference of about 60x for a category with the same name.

This page puts the four published estimates side by side, explains what each one is actually counting, gives the US-specific figures, and covers the category rename that Gartner formalized in September 2025. If you need a number for a board deck, take one from the narrow column and cite the firm. If you need a number for a budget, the narrow figures are the ones that describe software you can actually buy.

The short answer

How big is the partner relationship management market in 2026?

There is no single answer, and the honest version is more useful than a number. Four research firms currently size this market between roughly $2.0 billion and $144 billion for 2026, a spread of about 60x, because they draw the category boundary in completely different places. The narrow definitions count PRM software licenses. The broad ones fold in channel services, incentive spend and adjacent ecosystem tooling. For the US specifically, market.us puts the domestic PRM market at $17.78 billion in 2024 growing at 12.8% a year. If you are sizing a budget rather than a slide, use the narrow figures.

What four research firms say the partner relationship management market is worth

Every figure below was read off the publishing firm's own report page in August 2026. They are not reconciled here because they cannot be reconciled: these firms are not measuring the same thing.

Research firm Base year size Forecast CAGR What the number appears to count
MarketsandMarkets $920M (2020) $1,997M by 2026 13.8% PRM software licenses, narrowest definition
Market Research Future $3.25B (2024), $3.42B (2025) $5.7B by 2035 5.22% PRM software, with the most conservative growth view
market.us $55.97B (2024) $220.59B by 2034 14.7% PRM plus surrounding processes, systems and services
Fortune Business Insights $123.22B (2025), $144.02B (2026) $501.54B by 2034 16.88% Broadest definition, closer to total channel and partner spend

Figures read from each firm's public report page in August 2026. MarketsandMarkets and Market Research Future describe a software market of a few billion dollars. market.us and Fortune Business Insights describe something one to two orders of magnitude larger. Both can be internally consistent, which is exactly the problem when a vendor quotes one of them at you without saying which.

Why it works

What your team gets with partner relationship management market data

The category is being renamed around you

Gartner published its Market Guide for Partner and Ecosystem Relationship Management Applications on September 23, 2025, listing 20 representative vendors. Gartner Peer Insights now labels the market as transitioning. Expect vendors to relabel faster than their products change.

North America is the majority of the money

market.us puts North America at 33.5% of global PRM revenue, and Fortune Business Insights puts it near 38%. Both agree the US is the largest single market and the one where channel software budgets are set.

Growth estimates disagree less than size

Three of the four firms land between 13.8% and 16.88% CAGR. Only Market Research Future is an outlier at 5.22%. Analysts argue about how big this market is far more than about how fast it is growing.

In depth

How to read partner relationship management market research

Four things worth knowing before you quote any of these numbers in a meeting.

Why the estimates differ by roughly 60x

The gap is a definition problem, not an arithmetic one. A PRM software market counts license and subscription revenue paid to vendors like Impartner, ZINFI, Channeltivity, Magentrix and Salesforce. Add up the plausible revenue of every PRM vendor in the world and you land in the low billions, which is roughly where MarketsandMarkets ($1,997 million by 2026) and Market Research Future ($3.42 billion in 2025) sit.

The larger numbers describe something else. market.us defines the market as "the collection of processes, systems, and technology" organizations use to manage partners, and reaches $55.97 billion for 2024. Fortune Business Insights reaches $123.22 billion for 2025. Once you count channel services, incentive and rebate spend, partner marketing budgets and the internal cost of running a program, you are describing an activity rather than a software line item.

Neither view is wrong. But a vendor citing a $144 billion market to justify a price is describing a market it does not sell into. Ask which report, which year, and which definition.

The US partner relationship management market

The most specific US figure published is from market.us, which values the US PRM market at $17.78 billion in 2024 and projects a 12.8% CAGR. That sits inside its broad global definition, so treat it as US channel and partner management spend rather than US software licenses.

On regional share, the two firms that publish it broadly agree: market.us puts North America at 33.5% of the global market in 2024 (about $18.74 billion in revenue), and Fortune Business Insights puts North America at approximately 38%. The IT and telecom sector is the largest vertical, which market.us puts at 51.3% share, driven by reseller and distribution networks.

The practical read for a US buyer is that this is a domestic-majority market with mature vendors and real competition, which is why published pricing has become scarce rather than plentiful. We track what each vendor actually publishes in the partner relationship management software cost guide.

PRM is becoming PERM, and what that changes

On September 23, 2025, Gartner published its Market Guide for Partner and Ecosystem Relationship Management Applications (document 6982766), naming 20 representative vendors. Gartner Peer Insights now lists the market as "Partner Relationship Management Applications (Transitioning to Partner and Ecosystem Relationship Management Applications)". The category is formally being renamed.

The substance behind the rename is a shift from managing a reseller channel to orchestrating an ecosystem: co-selling, integration partners, marketplaces and multi-party revenue rather than a single tier of resellers moving product. Salesforce has already followed the naming, selling Partner Relationship Management at $25 per member per month and a higher tier literally called Partner Ecosystem Management at $50.

For a buyer, the useful filter is to ignore the label and ask what the software does with a non-reselling partner. Our partner ecosystem platform page covers that side, and what is a partner ecosystem covers the underlying model.

What market research cannot tell you

Every report above measures money already being spent on partners you already have. None of them measure the part that decides whether a program works, which is whether the right partner companies ever get found and approached.

That is the gap this product was built for. The BD agent reads public company and market signals to surface partner companies that fit your product, ranks them with a transparent fit score and the reasons behind it, and drafts outreach a person on your team approves before anything sends. Nothing goes out automatically. Once partners are live, deal registration and referral tracking prove what they actually sourced, which is the number a CFO will ask about.

If you have moved past market sizing and want a shortlist, start with best partner relationship management software, or read the partnership tracking software comparison if proving partner-sourced revenue is the immediate problem.

Good questions

Questions about partner relationship management market data

It depends entirely on the definition. MarketsandMarkets puts it at $1,997 million by 2026 and Market Research Future at $3.42 billion in 2025, both counting PRM software. market.us puts it at $55.97 billion in 2024 and Fortune Business Insights at $123.22 billion in 2025, both counting the wider set of partner processes and services. Use the narrow figures for software budgets.
market.us values the US PRM market at $17.78 billion in 2024 and projects a 12.8% compound annual growth rate. That figure uses the firm's broad definition, covering partner processes and services rather than software licenses alone. On share, North America accounts for 33.5% of the global market by market.us and roughly 38% by Fortune Business Insights.
Three of the four published forecasts cluster between 13.8% and 16.88% CAGR: MarketsandMarkets at 13.8%, market.us at 14.7% and Fortune Business Insights at 16.88%. Market Research Future is the outlier at 5.22% through 2035. The firms disagree far more about the size of this market than about how quickly it is growing.
It is a Gartner research document (6982766) published on September 23, 2025, covering the category Gartner previously called Partner Relationship Management Applications. It names 20 representative vendors and frames the shift toward AI-enhanced ecosystem orchestration, co-selling and collaborative revenue models rather than single-tier reseller management.
PERM, Partner and Ecosystem Relationship Management, is Gartner's newer name for the same market. The substantive difference is scope: PRM grew up managing a reseller channel, while PERM covers integration partners, co-selling, marketplaces and multi-party revenue. In practice many vendors adopted the label before their products changed, so evaluate what the software does with a non-reselling partner.
The established software vendors include Impartner, ZINFI (Unifyr), Channeltivity, Magentrix, Channelscaler (formerly Allbound), Zift Solutions and Salesforce Partner Cloud. Adjacent categories overlap heavily: PartnerStack and impact.com in partner marketing and affiliate motions, and Crossbeam in account mapping. Gartner named 20 representative vendors in its September 2025 market guide.
Because they draw the category boundary in different places. Narrow reports count subscription revenue paid to PRM software vendors, which totals a few billion dollars globally. Broad reports count partner programs as an activity, including channel services, incentives and internal program cost, which reaches into the hundreds of billions. Always check which definition a quoted figure uses.
Yes, by both firms that publish regional splits. market.us puts North America at 33.5% of global revenue in 2024, worth about $18.74 billion, and Fortune Business Insights puts it at approximately 38%. Asia Pacific is generally described as the fastest-growing region, but North America remains the largest and is where most channel software budgets are set.
