Impartner and Channelscaler both sell enterprise channel software, and neither will quote you from a web page. The difference is how far each one lets you get on your own. Channelscaler, which is what Allbound became, publishes a floor: pricing starts at $50,000 per module a year, fixed for the length of the contract, with implementation, support, training and additional users included in the module rather than billed on top. Impartner publishes no figure anywhere, sells four separate products each with its own pricing link, and impartner.com/pricing returns a 404. If you need to build a budget before you take a call, Channelscaler is the only one of the two that gives you a number to start from.

What does Channelscaler cost?

Channelscaler states that pricing starts at $50,000 per module annually, and that the figure is all-inclusive within the module. Its pricing page lists implementation, configuration, support and maintenance, feature updates, a dedicated customer success manager, setup, training and onboarding as part of the module price rather than as separate line items, and says there is no charge for additional users, usage or growth. It also commits that "pricing is fixed per program, for the full length of your contract" with "no mid-contract changes."

Two things follow from that. First, the number is a floor and not a quote, so a program buying three modules is not buying a $50,000 contract. Second, the all-inclusive framing changes what you are comparing. Most enterprise channel contracts land with a separate implementation fee, a support tier, and a per-seat line that grows quietly. If those are genuinely inside the module price, a headline that looks high against a per-seat rival can end up closer than it first reads. Ask for the module list and the total, not the floor.

What does Impartner cost?

Impartner publishes nothing. We have now checked impartner.com/pricing on six separate occasions across 2026 and it has returned a 404 every time. The company sells four distinct products, each carrying its own "Pricing" link, and each of those links opens a request form rather than a page with figures on it. It has also added CPQ to the lineup, which is another module to price.

This matters more than it sounds. A PRM quote from Impartner is not a partner marketing quote, and neither is a fund management quote, because those sit in a different product. Buyers who scope only the portal and deal registration in the first call routinely find the through-channel marketing they assumed was included is a second contract. If you go into an Impartner evaluation, write down every module you need before the first call and ask for all of them priced together. Our fuller write-up of where the product fits, and where it does not, is in the Impartner alternative comparison.

Which one is better for market development funds?

Channelscaler, clearly, on what each vendor is willing to describe. Its fund module covers MDF, co-op and joint marketing funds across regions and partner tiers, with guided request and claim submission flows, automated approval routing with an audit trail, and attribution reporting that links fund activity back to pipeline and revenue. The detail that stands out is claim validation: Channelscaler names AI-assisted invoice auditing that identifies duplicate invoices, out-of-range invoice dates and document inconsistencies before approval. Almost nobody else in this category describes that step at all, and it is the step where fund programs actually leak money.

Impartner does sell fund management, but inside Partner Marketing Automation rather than the PRM, and it describes neither the workflow nor the price publicly. For a program where MDF is the main reason you are shopping, that is a real difference in how much you can evaluate before signing an NDA. We compare the fund tier and price across eight platforms in our market development funds software breakdown.

Is Channelscaler the same as Allbound?

Yes. Allbound rebranded to Channelscaler, and allbound.com now 301-redirects to channelscaler.com. The product lineage is the same, but the positioning moved noticeably upmarket: the site now describes itself as built for organizations managing large or complex channel ecosystems, which is consistent with a $50,000 per module floor. Buyers who remember Allbound as a mid-market alternative to the enterprise suites should recheck the fit, because that is not where it sits now.

The rename also means older comparison content across the web still says Allbound, and some of it quotes pricing from a period when the company published nothing. If a review or roundup cites an Allbound price without a date, treat it as unverified.

Which is cheaper?

Nobody can answer that honestly from public information, and any page that claims to is guessing. What can be said is narrower and more useful. Channelscaler publishes a floor, tells you what the floor includes, and commits to holding the price for the contract term. Impartner publishes no floor, no inclusions and no price commitment. On budget predictability, that is a one-sided comparison, and it is a fair thing to weigh even before either quote arrives.

If a published number is what you need, neither is the right shortlist. ZINFI publishes an exact grid from $1,750 a month, Magentrix publishes $1,500 and $3,000 tiers, and Channeltivity historically published flat monthly figures. We put two of those head to head in Allbound vs Channeltivity and cover the enterprise end in Impartner vs ZINFI.

Who should shortlist which

Shortlist Channelscaler if you run a distribution or hardware channel with a large partner ecosystem, heavy fund and claim volume, and a finance team that wants a fixed annual number it can defend. The all-inclusive module and the fixed-term price are built for exactly that review, and the claim auditing is the strongest publicly described in this group.

Shortlist Impartner if you want PRM, through-channel marketing and managed services from a single enterprise vendor and you have the procurement patience to price four products at once. It is a genuinely broad platform, and breadth is the reason to buy it.

Shortlist neither if your program is under about fifty partners. Both are built for scale that a first program does not have, and the money is better spent on finding partners than on administering the ones you do not yet have. Practical detail that decides more evaluations than either feature list: fund requests and claims in most programs still arrive by email, and teams that never got around to bringing every shared mailbox into one place lose the thread the moment the person who owned it leaves. Fix that before you buy a suite to solve it.

What to ask on the first call

Four questions separate a real quote from a range. Ask which modules the number covers and what a second module costs, because both vendors sell in modules and the floor is per module. Ask what is genuinely included: implementation, training, support tier, and whether additional internal users are billable. Ask whether the price is fixed for the term or subject to uplift at renewal, and get the answer in writing. Ask, specifically, whether fund management and through-channel marketing are in the same contract as the portal, because at Impartner they are not.
