AffiliateWP pricing starts at $149.50 for the first year on one site (Personal), $199.50 on two sites (Plus) and $299.50 on five sites (Pro). Those are introductory prices. Every renewal is charged at full price, so from year two you pay $299, $399 or $599 a year. There is no platform fee on affiliate sales, no free trial and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

The number on the checkout page is half of what you will pay each year after that, and the features most subscription sites need sit on the most expensive license. Below is the full price list as AffiliateWP publishes it today, the three-year cost of each license, which features force an upgrade, and how the bill compares with SliceWP, Rewardful and FirstPromoter.

How much does AffiliateWP cost?

AffiliateWP sells yearly licenses in US dollars on affiliatewp.com/pricing. Every price on the page carries the same footnote: special introductory pricing, all renewals are at full price. All licenses include unlimited affiliates and commissions.

LicenseFirst yearEvery renewalSitesSupport
Personal$149.50$2991Standard
Plus$199.50$3992Standard
Pro$299.50$5995Priority
Growth Bundle (AffiliateWP Pro + RewardsWP Pro)$349.50$6995 per pluginPriority

Personal covers the core of an affiliate program: referral links, coupon tracking, an affiliate dashboard, real-time reports, Stripe and PayPal payouts, store credit, international payouts, and WooCommerce plus 20+ other integrations. Plus adds multi-currency commissions, commission on signups, an affiliate welcome bonus, leaderboards, assigning an affiliate at checkout and custom registration through Gravity Forms or Ninja Forms. Pro adds the fraud prevention suite, recurring referrals, lifetime commissions, tiered and multi-tier rates, direct link tracking, automatic payouts, an affiliate portal, affiliate landing pages, vanity coupon codes and personalized referral URLs.

Why does AffiliateWP cost more at renewal?

Because the advertised price is a first-year discount of 50%. AffiliateWP shows the full price struck through next to each license ($299, $399, $599, $699) and states that renewals are at full price. Nothing changes in the product between year one and year two. You are simply paying list price.

Updates and support run with an active license, so letting it lapse is not a real way to save on a plugin that handles money. Budget the renewal as the true annual cost and treat year one as a discount.

What does AffiliateWP cost over three years?

Here is what each license costs if you keep it for three years, which is a fair horizon for an affiliate program you are building on purpose.

LicenseYear 1Year 2Year 3Three-year totalPer site per year
Personal (1 site)$149.50$299$299$747.50$249
Plus (2 sites)$199.50$399$399$997.50$166
Pro (5 sites)$299.50$599$599$1,497.50$100

Pro is the cheapest per site, but only if you actually run five sites. A single store that needs a Pro feature pays the full $1,497.50 for one install, which is twice the Personal bill.

Which AffiliateWP license do you need?

Pick the license by feature, not by site count, because that is where most buyers end up upgrading.

  • Personal is enough for a WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads store that sells one-off products, pays a flat or percentage commission and pays out by PayPal or Stripe.
  • Plus makes sense if you sell in more than one currency, want to pay affiliates for free signups or leads, or run exactly two sites.
  • Pro is the license for subscription and membership sites. Recurring referrals and lifetime commissions are listed only on Pro, so if affiliates earn on renewals you need it. The same goes for fraud screening, tiered rates that reward top affiliates and automatic payouts.

The practical rule: if your revenue is recurring, price AffiliateWP at $599 a year, not $149.50. For a site where most revenue comes from renewals, a renewal that fails at the card never produces the recurring commission either, so failed payment recovery for subscription billing protects both your revenue and the payouts your affiliates are counting on.

Does AffiliateWP charge transaction fees?

No. AffiliateWP lists zero platform fees on every license, and Personal also lists no transaction fees on payouts. You pay the license, the commissions you set for affiliates, and the normal Stripe or PayPal processing fees when you send payouts. That is the main reason WordPress stores choose a plugin over hosted tools that charge a share of affiliate revenue.

Does AffiliateWP have a lifetime license?

Not on its pricing page today. The page lists yearly licenses only; "lifetime commissions" on the Pro license is a feature that ties a customer to an affiliate for life, not a license type. If you see an AffiliateWP lifetime deal advertised elsewhere, confirm it with AffiliateWP before you buy. If a one-time price matters to you, SliceWP is the WordPress plugin that sells one: $429 for one site or $649 for ten.

Is there an AffiliateWP free trial or refund?

There is no free trial. AffiliateWP offers a 14-day money-back guarantee instead: contact them within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Fourteen days is short for an affiliate program, because few affiliates will have earned a commission by then. Install it on a staging copy of your site first, connect your checkout, place a test order through an affiliate link and run a test payout inside the window.

AffiliateWP vs SliceWP, Rewardful and FirstPromoter on price

Each of these tools publishes a price, so the comparison can be made in dollars. SliceWP is the closest like-for-like swap, another WordPress plugin with no share of sales. Solid Affiliate, the other WooCommerce plugin most stores shortlist, matches AffiliateWP's first-year price but renews higher, which we price out in AffiliateWP vs Solid Affiliate. Rewardful and FirstPromoter are hosted tools built for SaaS companies that bill through Stripe, and they price by the affiliate revenue you track.

ToolEntry priceYear twoRecurring commissionsRuns on
AffiliateWP$149.50 first year$299 (Personal), $599 for ProPro onlyYour WordPress site

Rewardful$49 a month, $490 a yearSame, rises with affiliate revenueYesHosted, Stripe billing
FirstPromoter$49 a monthSame, rises with affiliate revenueYesHosted, Stripe and other billing

On a single WordPress site that sells subscriptions, SliceWP costs $627 over three years against $1,497.50 for AffiliateWP Pro. The full feature-by-feature breakdown, including where AffiliateWP is the better tool, is in our AffiliateWP vs SliceWP comparison. If your product is a SaaS app billed through Stripe rather than a WordPress checkout, a WordPress plugin is the wrong shape of tool, and our AffiliateWP alternatives page and the Rewardful pricing breakdown cover the hosted options. When AffiliateWP is worth the full price

AffiliateWP earns its renewal when your store runs on WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads, you want affiliate data on your own server, you need fraud screening and tiered rates, and you prefer a fixed yearly bill to a fee that grows with affiliate revenue. At $50,000 a month of affiliate sales, $599 a year is a small line item next to any tool that takes a percentage.

It is the wrong buy if your billing lives outside WordPress, if you need affiliates to earn on renewals but will not pay for Pro, or if the partners you need are not individuals at all. Affiliate plugins track people who share links. They do not find companies to partner with: a complementary product to bundle with, an agency whose clients are your buyers, a tool your customers already use. Partnerships finds and ranks those partner companies by fit, drafts outreach a person on your team approves, and tracks the revenue each one brings, on a flat $47, $119 or $269 a month billed yearly with no share of partner revenue.
